Keysigning

Page history last edited by John 1 yr ago

If you'd like to trade gpg key signatures with others at the conference, you should bring the following:

  • Several copies of your key info. The ouput of 'gpg --fingerprint $keyid' is what you want.

(There is a script, gpg-key2ps, in the pgp-tools package that can help with this task.)

  • ID.  Everyone has different requirements, but almost no one will sign your key without at least one form of photo ID.  This is usually a drivers license and/or passport.

Wikipedia has some info on Key signing parties as well.
